Remodelling Bodies: Illuminating Beauty I and II, Surgical Icons and Apothecary for Remodelling the Body

Remodelling Bodies consists of three series that reflect an interest in bodies as a site for the expression of social and cultural change. The relationship between female bodies and an increasingly commodified global culture generates an increased acceptance and demand for cosmetic surgery that remodels bodies to achieve particular parameters of beauty. Discourses surrounding body modification through surgical manipulation are explored.
